Graphic Events: The Life of Signs

The Life of Signs was a workshop hosted by West Yorkshire Print Workshop (WYPW) and run by me and Nick Deakin. The workshop was about the odd ways that graphic signs live in everyday life. It includes a brief presentation of the themes of our  Graphic Events book followed by a directed walk around the indoor market and Piazza in Huddersfield where we will document the life of signs with photographs and writing. Returning to WYPW’s Unit 2. We the collaborated to design print publications that gather our observations about these found graphics.
This workshop was part of Cultures of Place, a Huddersfield-based showcase of exhibitions, installations, performances, workshops, podcasts, talks and discussion about place.
